When you first became an internet marketer you probably read all the blogs, tips, and articles you could find on the subject. Then you probably went through and followed every piece of advice to the extreme, placing classified ads and posting articles everywhere you could. But when you slow down to look at the bottom line, you probably realize that your efforts aren't enough.
When you reach this point, you are ready to look at some advanced internet marketing techniques. These techniques will allow you to take your marketing to the next level and begin to see some true success. What you have done has obviously not been good enough, so what else can you do?
The first thing to understand about advanced internet marketing is that you have to evaluate all of your marketing efforts and understand where you are going wrong. You cannot make the most of your time and marketing dollars if you do not know what is working and what isn't. Start with a simple website tracker such as Google Analytics that will tell you where your traffic is coming from. That will be a great help to you in figuring out which efforts are worth pursuing, and which should be ditched.
Once you know where you stand, start working on some advanced techniques. Viral marketing or buzz marketing is all the rage, and can be achieved easily with enough creativity and shock value. You also, of course, need a video for great viral marketing. Another technique to try is social networking sites, YouTube clips or commercials, and writing e-books.
