As part of this business program, students learn how to write business plans, obtain money for business startups, and market their products and services and more.
Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., offers business degree students and others opportunities to minor in entrepreneurship. As part of Nova Southeastern’s minor in this, students would take courses such as small business management, selling and sales management, franchise management and introduction to leadership. Both the Mt. Sierra business degree and the Nova Southeastern entrepreneurship minor provide students with opportunities to participate in internships.
At the graduate level, Entrepreneur magazine lists the top 25 business degree programs for budding business owners. They include business degree programs offered by the University of Arizona, the University of Southern California, the University of Illinois Chicago and Tulane University in New Orleans, La. The extent of these entrepreneurship programs varies, and some institutions also offer business degrees with concentrations at the undergraduate level. Where the University of Chicago Illinois offers an MBA with a concentration in this specialty, the University of Arizona’s entrepreneurship center offers an MBA with an entrepreneurship concentration, a master of accounting with an entrepreneurship track, a Ph.D., minor in entrepreneurship, undergraduate degrees with entrepreneurship concentrations and more.
