Internet Marketing Tips – How To Revive Your Email Marketing Campaigns
I’ll be the first to admit it. It’s tough out there these days when it comes to email marketing. Between the spam filtering and people just being so blasted skeptical of everything, it isn’t easy to get people to open up your emails anymore, that’s if they even get delivered. Well, fortunately for myself, I have conquered most of the problems that email marketers face and still have very profitable email campaigns. I am going to share with you exactly what I do so that you can have profitable email campaigns as well.
Let’s tackle the issue of email delivery first, since that is really the biggest problem. As much as you’re not going to want to hear this, sending an email from your own personal email account is probably not going to get the job done. Most domains, especially if you’re sending from an AOL, Hotmail or some other free email account, are blacklisted and thus the emails simply won’t get through. As a matter of fact, many businesses will even tell you that they won’t accept your business if you’re using an AOL account or some similar email provider. Trust me, there is a reason for this.
So what’s the answer? Well, it’s going to cost you a few bucks a month, but the answer is to get a professional autoresponder service. The absolute two best are Aweber and Get Response. I use Aweber personally, but either one will do fine. You’ll get about a 97% delivery rate of your emails. For about $20 a month, that’s some great peace of mind. Not only is the delivery excellent, but it also saves you from spam complaints, which you are also open to when you use your own email service.
Now let’s address the issue of getting your emails opened once they arrive. The only way to do this is with subject lines that are catchy but not filled with hype. People are tired of the same old garbage day after day. Try to be a little original. Personally, if I see an email that says, “Make $30,000 in 30 Days…Guaranteed” I just chuck it in the trash. A little honesty and straightforwardness will work wonders.
Same thing with the body of your email. Try a little honesty for a change. Give people information that they can actually use. If you educate them, you’re more likely to turn them into buyers than if you simply try to sell them something. If you have a product you want to recommend, review it in depth for them. They’ll appreciate the effort.
These are all little, and not so little things that you can do to revive YOUR email marketing campaigns.
To YOUR Success,
Steven Wagenheim
